Thomas J. Stelene, Sr., age 76, of Ridgway, died February 1, 2022 at Penn Highlands-DuBois. A son of the late LaRue and Ada (Silvis) Stelene, he was born on June 22, 1945 in Ridgway, PA.

Besides his parents, Tom was predeceased by: a son, Thomas Stelene, Jr.; three sisters, Jeannie Bedford, Dorothy Geici and Sally Shoffstall; and a brother, Michael Stelene.

Tom is survived by: two daughters, Tracy Wildnauer of Wilcox and Tanya Stelene of St. Marys; two grandchildren, Tommi Challingsworth and Ty Wildnauer; two great-grandchildren, Sylas and Ryan Challingsworth; three brothers, Kenneth, Leroy and Robert Stelene; a sister, Michele Leiter; a close friend, Liz Krewduk; two special cousins, Kelly and David Steis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tom was raised in Johnsonburg and lived most of his life in Ridgway. He worked for more than twenty years in the Maintenance Department of the Elk County Courthouse before his retirement. He was an avid hunter/fisherman most of his life and enjoyed cooking and riding around Ridgway on his scooter. He was a member of the Ridgway VFW and American Legion.

There will be no visitation and no public services.
