Sharon Veley Obituary

Sharon L. Veley, age 70, of Alpine Road, St. Marys, PA, died March 15, 2022 at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation of Curwensville, after a short illness. A daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Iorfida) Ferris, she was born on March 10, 1952 in St. Marys, PA. On August 30, 1971 she married Robert J. Veley, Sr., who preceded her in death on February 14, 2014.

Sharon is survived by: two children, Robert J. (Tara) Veley of Brockport and Becky Crowder of Florida; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank Ferris of St. Marys; and a sister, Joyce Dotson of North Dakota.

Sharon had worked for ten years at BiLo Foods of St. Marys, but mostly spent her time caring for her family and watching TV. She loved animals and lived all her life in St. Marys.

A Memorial Service will be announced.

The family suggests memorials to the Elk County Humane Society and will be accepting online condolences at www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com.

The Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield has been entrusted with final arrangements.
