Sandra Amann Obituary

Sandra L. Amann, age 78, of Quehanna Hwy., Medix Run, PA, died unexpectedly, Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Penn Highlands-DuBois. A daughter of the late Hugh H. and Rhoda E. (Russell) Smith, she was born on May 7, 1942 in Salem, OH.

Sandy is survived by: her long-time partner, Burt Reis of Medix Run; four children, Thomas S. Amann of Missouri, Mark R. Amann of Iowa, Patrick S. Amann of South Carolina and Stephanie L. Seitz of Illinois; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Susan Joseph and Anita Kim Smith, both of Ohio.

Besides her parents, Sandy was predeceased by: two sisters, Luray Hose and Phay Nulph.

Sandy worked alongside her partner, Burt, in many businesses, including the Diamond Reo in Ohio and the Big Elk Lick near Benezette, PA. She had a special love for animals and has been a resident of Bennetts Valley for more than thirty years.

There will be no visitation.

Private services will be held by the family.
