Rose A. Youngmark, age 75, of Maple Avenue, DuBois, PA, died March 15, 2025 at Penn Highlands-DuBois, after a lengthy illness. A daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Ausserer) Laird, she was born on November 12, 1949 in St. Marys, PA. On June 22, 1974 she married John H. Youngmark, who survives at home.
Along with her husband, Rose is survived by: two children, Julie Hansen of Weedville and John E. Youngmark of St. Marys; three grandchildren, Alison, Hayden and Alexis; a brother, Robert (Jane) Laird of Emporium; and two sisters, Mary (Tom) Squires of St. Marys and Virginia (Alan) Schneider of St. Marys.
Besides her parents, Rose was predeceased by: three brothers, Frederick, Patrick and Timothy.
Rose was raised in St. Marys, lived five years in Bennetts Valley and has lived in Dubois since 1979. She worked as a dietary Technician in the Dietary Department of the St. Marys Hospital for ten years. She was a past member of St. Michaels Catholic Church of DuBois and she enjoyed making Rosaries and Scapulars for many years.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. and also on Thursday from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA, with Father Mark Mastrian.
Interment will take place in the Church Cemetery.
