Obituary
Richard DeCarli, age 70, of Vine Road, St. Marys, died July 28, 2023 in New Castle, PA, after a short illness. A son of the late Mario and DeNelda (Youngmark) DeCarli, he was born on June 19, 1953 in DuBois, PA.
Richard is survived by: a brother, Ronald (Kay) DeCarli of Florida; a sister, Colleen (Raymond) Schauer of Hermitage, PA; and four nieces Ronna Lott, Jennifer DeCarli, Marla Keibler and Raeann Erdesky.
Richard earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and worked as a School Teacher for St. Marys School District for many years, retiring in 2009. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA and enjoyed following the Pirates and Steelers. He was raised in Bennetts Valley and has lived in St. Marys for the past 42 years.
There will be no public visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place, 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 14, 2023, at the St, Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA with Father Mark Mastrian.
Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
