Perry P. Hretzek

Perry P. Hretzek, age 65, of Caledonia, died August 5, 2023 after a sixteen-year battle with cancer.  A son of the late Peter and Joan (Ritto) Hretzek, he was born on February 25, 1958 in Norristown, PA.  On October 21, 1988 he married Shirley A. (Robinson) who survives at home.

Along with his wife, Perry is survived by: two brothers, Jan (Colleen) Covington of Spring City, PA and Jeffrey (Kathryn) Covington of Chester Springs, PA; and a special brother-in-law, Leonard Robinson of Weedville, PA.

Besides his parents, Perry was predeceased by: a sister, Barbara Baker.

Perry was a graduate of Norristown High School and a member of the Caledonia United Methodist Church.  He was a carpenter most of his life and worked as a Sewage Plant Operator for the Jay Township Sewage Authority for ten years.  He enjoyed raising whitetail deer at his farm, Winchester Whitetails for twenty-three years.  He also enjoyed hunting and building; he was known to be always building.  He was born and raised in Norristown; has lived in California and the Philadelphia area; and has been a Bennetts Valley resident since 1988.

There will be no public visitation and no public services.

The family suggests memorials the Weedville United Methodist Church, the Hahne Cancer Center or the Penn Highlands Hospice, and will be accepting online condolences at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home website(www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com).
