Patricia A. (Leigey) Kunes

Patricia A. Kunes, age 72, of Apple Street, Weedville, PA, died Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Penn Highlands-DuBois after a short illness.  A daughter of the late Milton and Phyllis (Maines) Leigey, she was born on April 12, 1950 in Clearfield, PA.  On April 12, 1969 she married David A. Kunes, who survives in Weedville.

Along with her husband, Patricia is survived by: two children, David A. (Viky) Kunes, Jr. of Weedville and Lynn Smith of Weedville; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Richard and Lillie.

Along with her parents, Patricia was predeceased by: a son-in-law, Ronald Smith.

Patricia was born and raised in Clearfield, graduating from Clearfield High School and coming to Weedville in 1969. She was a member of Weedville United Methodist Church, and in the past had served as Lay Speaker for several years.  She enjoyed crafting, knitting, her pets, and especially time with her family.

Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and also on Thursday, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield.

Funeral Services will be held, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield.

Interment will take place in the Mt. Zion Cemetery of Weedville.
