Nancy L. (Pennington) Snyder

Nancy L. Snyder, age 85, of Johnsonburg, died April 22, 2021 at Pinecrest Manor after a lengthy illness.  A daughter of the late Percy and Catherine “Pearl” (Nortum) Pennington, she was born on October 27, 1935 in Johnsonburg.  On October 27, 1956 she married Elton W. Snyder, who predeceased her on May 7, 2014.

Along with her parents and her husband, Nancy was preceded in death by: three brothers, William, Norman and Thomas Pennington; and three sisters, Peggy Eisenhower, Carol Breindel and Edith Carr.

Nancy is survived by: three children, Jean (Mike) Newell of Johnsonburg, Joni (Rick) Mertz of Grant, and Jim “Snip” Snyder of Johnsonburg; a granddaughter, Jessica (Alex) Bloam;; two great-grandchildren, Jayden and Noah; and a brother, James (Ruth Ann) Pennington of Johnsonburg.

Living all her life in Johnsonburg, Nancy was a member of St. John Lutheran Church; enjoyed volunteering for the Blood Mobile, arts and crafts, and baking.

There will be no visitation.

The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., on Monday, April 26, 2021 at the Ubel Funeral Home of Johnsonburg, PA.

Funeral Services will be held, 1:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home with Reverend Ed Burkett.

Interment will take place in the Wardvale Methodist Cemetery, Johnsonburg, PA.
