Mary K. Youngmark, age 91, of Byrnedale, died Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Christ the King Manor. A daughter of the late William and May Alice (Ferris) Cassels, she was born on May 19, 1930 in Byrnedale, PA.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by: her husband, Edward E. Youngmark, Sr.; a granddaughter, Kelly Duell; four sisters, Clara Tyler, Rita Marks, Elaine Wells and Anna Gontero; and four brothers, Francis, James, William and Lorraine Cassels.
Mary is survived by: three children, Edward (Kathy) Youngmark, Jr. of Byrnedale, Cynthia (Dale) Duell of Byrnedale and John H. (Rose) Youngmark of DuBois; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald "Bud" Cassels of St. Marys and a sister-in-law, Katharine Dudley of Caledonia.
Mary lived all her life in Byrnedale until spending the last nine years in DuBois. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish for many years. She had played the organ for St. Joseph Parish and the Byrnedale Church for nearly fifty years. Mary enjoyed cooking and feeding any family and friends that happened by, but her true passion was her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Public visitation will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 6 - 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA with Father Mark Mastrian.
