Obituary

Martha N. “Sis” Bedford, age 83 of St. Marys, died June 26, 2023 at Elk Haven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.  A daughter of the late John J. and Martha Nellie (Whippo) Morgan, Sr., she was born on April 12, 1940 in Kane, PA.

Besides her parents, Martha was predeceased by: a daughter, Dorothy “Dottie” Bryington; a sister, Maureen Carlson; a sister-in-law Marleen Morgan and a brother-in-law, Bruce Phillips.

Martha is survived by:  two grandchildren, Kelsie Bryington of Wilcox and Zachary Bryington; three great-grandchildren, Natalie, Lucy and Xanderlynn Lechien; three brothers, John (Bernice) Morgan of Wilcox, Robert Morgan of Wilcox, and Paul (Nancy) Morgan of Kane; and three sisters, Mary Phillips of North Carolina, Mollie (Walter) Polinski of Wilcox and Michelle (Mike) Pavlock of Johnsonburg.

Sis worked as a Witress at the McFarland House in Wilcox for many years.  She was a member of the Wilcox Presbyterian Church and enjoyed walking, being outdoors and spending time with her family.  She lived most of her life in Wilcox and the past sixteen years in St. Marys.

There will be no public visitation.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will take place in the Wilcox Cemetery.
