Margaret "Sissy" Fitch

Margaret A. “Sissy” Fitch, age 74, of Water Street Ext, Johnsonburg, died July 4, 2023, unexpectedly at home.  A daughter of the late Bertie and Laura (Olson) Fitch, she was born on August 13, 1948 in Ridgway, PA.

Besides her parents, Sissy was predeceased by: three brothers, Clinton, Thomas "Tommy" and Claude Fitch; and six sisters, Lillian “Till” Winters, Frances McDonald, Edith Perkins, Helen M. Wolfe, Mary Ann Smith and Betty Ginkel.

Sissy lived all her life in Johnsonburg, graduating Johnsonburg Schools in 1967.  She is survived by a brother, Charles "Bud” Fitch of Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She had worked at IPM, Metco and Clarion Sintered, until her retirement.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed crafting, sunflowers; and riding her lawnmower, until she moved to her apartment.

There will be no public visitation and services will be private.

Interment took place, next to her parents, in the Thayer Cemetery of Ridgway
