Mabel E. (Hulett) Sechman

Mabel E. Sechman, age 90, of Weedville, was called home to the Lord on September 21, 2021 while surrounded by her family, at her daughter’s home in Weedville.  A daughter of the late Rollin and Mary (Keister) Hulett, she was born on July 1, 1931 in Bradford, PA.  In 1948 she married John R. Sechman who predeceased her in 1990.

Besides her parents and husband, Mabel was preceded in death by:  a son, Jon Sechman; a brother, Melvin Hulett and a sister, Janet Roberts.

Mabel is survived by: three children, Melbie (John) Stonik of Gaithersburg, MD, Craig Sechman of Weedville, PA and Yvette (Orlin) Gray of Weedville; six grandchildren, Amber Stonik, John Clark Stonik, Annette (Sechman) and her husband Tony Fenice, Blake (Cierra) Sechman, Chantle (Gray) and her husband John Shelton and Leah (Gray) and her husband Kristopher Konyndyk; and four great-grandchildren, Miranda, Ashlyn, Nolan and Asher.

Living all her life in Bennetts Valley, she graduated from Benezette High School.  She attended Weedville Wesleyan Church and sold Avon in the Valley for more than fifty years.  Mabel enjoyed spending her time entertaining with her family and friends; flower gardens; playing cards; and shopping.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA; and on Friday from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Weedville Wesleyan Church of Weedville, PA.

Funeral Services will be held, 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Weedville Wesleyan Church with Pastor Bryon Kleppinger.

Interment will take place next to her husband in Parklawn Memorial Gardens of Ridgway.
