Lloyd "Bud" Smith, Jr.

Lloyd P. “Bud” Smith, Jr., 75, of Byrnedale, PA, died, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Penn Highlands-DuBois after a lengthy illness.

He was born on March 20, 1942, a son of the late Lloyd P. “Bud” and Florence (Bundy) Smith, Sr.

Bud is survived by his six children, Charles E. (Tammy) Smith, Johnsonburg, PA, Chris (Larry) Painter, Marietta, OH, Daniel B. (April) Smith, Penfield, PA, Raymond A. (Dawn) Smith, Penfield, PA, Deirdre M. “DeeDee” Smith, DuBois, PA and Darlene I. Klebacha, DuBois, PA; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Norma (Robert) Whelpley, Penfield, PA, and Barbara (Craig) Plaszenski, Penfield, PA.

After graduating Huston Township High School in 1959, Bud served in the US Army until 1965.  He was a truck driver for many companies through the years, but mostly he drove for Sylvania of St. Marys, PA and most recently was working at ASMAC of St. Marys, PA.  He was a member of the Penfield Firemen’s Club, Bennetts Valley Legion and Vietnam Veterans Post 720.  His passion included TV Westerns and gameshows, country music and crossword puzzles.

Bud lived most of his life in Penfield and was recently of Byrnedale, PA.

There will be no visitation and private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
