Leo N. Calliari, age 92, of Hoovertown Road, Penfield, PA, died December 24, 2024, surrounded by his family at Penn Highlands-DuBois, after a lengthy illness. A son of the late Joseph Louis and Maria (Serafini) Calliari, he was born on October 11, 1932 in Force, PA. On November 14, 1959 he married Andrea L. (DeIaco), who preceded him in death on February 23, 2022.
Leo is survived by: two children, Kathleen and Leon Calliari of Penfield; and a brother, Carl Calliari of Sabula.
Besides his parents and his wife, Leo is predeceased by: a brother, Silvio Calliari; two sisters, Mabel Roseman and Irene Gregori; and a sister-in-law, Frances Calliari.
Leo served in the US Army during the Korean War and was the Owner/Operator of Leo’s Barber Shop in DuBois for the past 62 years. A lifelong resident of Bennetts Valley, He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA. Leo enjoyed spending his time in conversation with friends and customers at the Barber Shop.
Public Visitation will be held, Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. and on Monday, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2024 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA with Father Mark Mastrian.
Interment will take place in the Church Cemetery.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Bennetts Valley American Legion Post 978 Honor Guard.
