Katie Anne Harvey

Katie Anne Harvey, age 41, of Johnsonburg, PA, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long, enduring battle with cancer, at Shadyside Hospital of Pittsburgh. She is a daughter of the late John C. Harvey and Kristene “Tena” (Belin) Harvey of Wilcox. 

Along with her mother, Katie is survived by: her fiancé, Michael Gray of Johnsonburg; a brother, Scott (Shannon) Harvey of Virginia; four sisters, Amy (Rex) Rensel of Harrisburg, Krista (Russ) Reed of Pittsburgh, Shelby (Kyle) Morgan of Colorado and Taylor (Jared) Davis of Pittsburgh; she was the favorite aunt of Addison, Max, Riley, Cayden, Lily, and Bailey; and her dogs, Pennie-Pie and Winnie-Poo. 

Katie had worked at Walmart, Helpmates, and the Elks Club of Ridgway. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, the Elks, the Moose, Central Hose, the Eagles and the Piedmont Club. 

Katie was the life of the party. She lit up the room with her smile and joy. She will be missed by many. She loved playing BINGO at the Eagles with her gang, going to the beach with Jim and Sally Condon and family, reading Stephen King books, playing spoons with her cousin; “The Walking Dead”, Jeeping with Michael and the dogs, Playstation gaming with her family, her Busch Latte, being an “Edie”, going for a road trip with her friend Sonya, the Casino with Noel, camping, playing tickets, being the other half of “The Pack” with Annie, blankets, hats with two balls, and especially playing games all night at Christmas with her family. 

There will be no visitation. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 24, 2023 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Johnsonburg, PA, with Father David Wilson. 

Interment will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery of Rasselas. 

The family suggests memorials to the Wilcox Fire Department and the Wilcox Library, and will be accepting online condolences at the Ubel Funeral Home website (www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com)
