Kathryn Ann (Ovell) Bennett

Kathryn Ann Bennett, age 73, of South Street, Ridgway, PA, died July 3, 2026 at home.  A daughter of Lucille (Farabaugh) Ovell of St. Marys and the late Bertram Ovell, she was born on March 6, 1953 in St. Marys, PA.  In 1981 she married Jesse Bennett, who survives at home.

Along with her husband, Kathryn is survived by: three children, Mark Lovell of DuBois, Jason (Molly) Burke of Benezette and Adam (Holly) Burke of Weedville; six grandchildren, Alan, Abigail, Melony, Caden, Shane and Hailey; three great-grandchildren, Robert, Molly and James, and two brothers, Roger and Robert Ovell.

Besides her father, Kathryn was predeceased by her brothers Michael and Bertram, and a sister, Debra Hecock.

Kathryn was raised in Mt. Zion area of Weedville, lived twenty six years in South Carolina, ten years in Florida and has been back in PA since October 2025.  She worked in the restaurant business as a waitress and baker for many years and with her husband, owned and operated an appliance store in Myrtle Beach for twenty-six years.  She enjoyed riding horses, hunting, fishing and playing computer games.

There will be no public visitation.

Funeral Services will be held, 9:00 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2026 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery of Weedville, PA, with Reverend Don Smith.

Interment will take place in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
