Judith E. Benevich

Judith Elaine Benevich, age 73, of DuBois Village and formerly Bennetts Valley, died Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Penn Highlands-DuBois after a short illness. A daughter of the late Lucian and Theophila (Lovenduski) Benevich, she was born on February 23, 1948 in DuBois, PA.

Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by: a sister, Nancy Benevich.

Judy is survived by: three siblings, Peggy Steinbach of St. Marys, Jerry (Donna) Benevich of Byrnedale and Bernadette (Robert) Iddings of DuBois; an aunt Evelyn; an uncle, Leonard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Living most of her life in Bennetts Valley, Judy graduated from Bennetts Valley High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force.  She worked many years at MPP of St. Marys, retiring in 2010.  She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, game shows (especially Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy), visiting with her best friend, Virginia, on the front porch, shopping at Barnes & Nobel with her friend Cindy , and time with her family.

There will be no public visitation.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 3, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA, with Father Mark Mastrian.

Interment will take place in the Church Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to the Bennetts Valley Ambulance or the St. Joseph Church of Force, and will be accepting online condolences at www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com.

The Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield has been entrusted with final arrangements.
