Joyce L. (Maines) Knapp

Joyce L. Knapp, age 53, of Bennetts Valley Hwy, Penfield, died March 16, 2025 at Penn Highlands-DuBois, after a lengthy illness.  A daughter of the late Louis Maines and the late Henry and Kathleen (Turner) Janocha, she was born on July 6, 1971 in Curwensville, PA.  On August 19, 1995 she married Brian Knapp, who survives at home.

Along with her husband, Joyce is survived by: her daughter, Kathleen (Matthew Goheen) Knapp of Bell Vernon, PA; a granddaughter, Lilith; a brother, Louis Maines; and three step-siblings, John, Tina and Angie Janocha.

Besides her parents, Joyce was predeceased by: a sister, Sara Dawn Maines.

Joyce was a 1991 graduate of DuBois Area Schools.  She worked as a Caregiver at Oak Manor of St. Marys for many years.  She was a past member of DuBois American Legion Post 17 and lived most of her life in Bennetts Valley.  She enjoyed Civil War History, camping and spending time with her family.

There will be no public visitation.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
