Joseph E. “Joe Ed” Galsick, 84, of Wilcox, passed away at his residence on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
He was born on June 27, 1940, in Wilcox, a son of the late Joseph F. and Emma Benedict Galsick.
Joe Ed was a lifelong resident of Wilcox and was a member of the Wilcox Legion and the Wilcox Sportsmen’s Club. He was a true outdoorsman, and could often be found hunting or fishing. He also enjoyed gardening around his house, canning the vegetables that he grew; and plowing the fields and planting crops on the Galsick Farm.
He is survived by 2 children, Tom (Judy) Galsick, and Tammie Galsick, both of Wilcox; by 2 grandchildren, Matthew, and Kate; by 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 2 sisters; Trenna (Tim) Lechein of Wilcox, and Betty Shrubb of Kane.
In addition to his parents, Joe Ed was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Galsick.
Services for Joseph E. “Joe Ed” Galsick are being held privately with the family.
Interment will take place in the Wilcox Cemetery.
