John E. Taylor

John E. Taylor, age 89, of Cushing Avenue, Johnsonburg, PA, died March 11, 2025 at Pinecrest Manor after a lengthy illness.  A son of the late Charles and Lucy (Tice) Taylor, he was born on October 6, 1935 in Howard, PA.  On October 26, 1956 he married Doris (Williams), who survives in St. Marys, PA.

Along with his wife, John is survived by: four children, Dennis (Denise) Taylor of Pittsburgh, John (Gloria) Taylor, Jr. of Harrisburg, Tim (Diane) Taylor of St. Marys and Nikki (Tom) Imbrogno of Johnsonburg; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Sager of Milesburg and Sue Smith of Florida.

Besides his parents, John was predeceased by: a sister, Annie Stettler.

John served in the National Guard and retired from Preston Trucking.  He was Baptist by faith and has lived in Johnsonburg since 1963.  He enjoyed traveling with his wife, working on his home and vehicles, bowling, hunting and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Ubel Funeral Home of Johnsonburg.

Funeral Services will follow the visitation, at the funeral home, with Bob Johnson.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Johnsonburg/Wilcox/Ridgway Servicemen’s Detail.  Detail members are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:45 a.m.

Interment will take place in the Schencks Cemetery of Howard, PA.
