Janet R. (Allen) Holmberg

Janet R. Holmberg, age 82, of Main Street, Johnsonburg, died February 1, 2022 at Penn Highlands-Elk, after a lengthy illness.  A daughter of the late Glenn and Ruth (Shuey) Allen, she was born on December 5, 1939 in Kane, PA.  On October 3, 1962 she married Charles Holmberg, who survives at home.

Along with her husband, Janet is survived by: three children, Jim (Tammy) Holmberg of Wilcox, Vonda (Dave) Mancuso of St. Marys and Stacey Vandyne of Johnsonburg; three grandchildren, Joe (Bailey) Holmberg of Wilcox, Mitchell (Brae) Holmberg of Ridgway and Devin Vandyne of Johnsonburg; and two great-grandchildren, Ila Holmberg and Hadley Holmberg; and a sister, Glenna Sherry of Russell, PA.

Besides her parents, Janet was preceded in death by: a sister, Donna Zimmerman and a granddaughter, Kaylee Mancuso.

Living all her life in Wilcox and Johnsonburg, Janet was a member of the Johnsonburg United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending her time with her family.

There will be no public visitation.

Private services will be held by the family.

Interment will take place in the Wardvale Methodist Cemetery of Johnsonburg.
