James Harris Elmquist

James Harris Elmquist, 52, Clearfield, passed away, Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Penn Highlands in DuBois after a brief illness. He was born December 18, 1968 in St. Mary’s. He is survived by his parents Carol (Girty) Elmquist Smith and her husband Harry Smith, jr of Weedville and Philip Elmquist and his partner Barb of Johnsonburg.

In addition to his parents, James also leaves behind a daughter Jamie Lee Lenze and her husband Andy Lenze, three grandchildren Summer Rose, Zachary and Emma all of Ridgway, a brother Matthew Smith, three sisters, Laura Elmquist Denio, Katherine “Katie” Smith and Sarah (Smith) Piccolo, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a good friend of Bills, an active supporter of Bilgers Rocks in Curwensville and an avid fisherman and sportsman.

A short service along with a celebration of life gathering and luncheon will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 1:00 - 6:00pm at the Penfield Grange.
