Irene R. (Carobine) Monte

Irene R. Monte, age 94, of Penfield, PA, died May 26, 2025 at Christ the King Manor.  A daughter of the late Domenic and Josephine (Metallo) Carobine, she was born on April 11, 1931.  On November 3, 1951 she married Clarence Monte, who predeceased her on October 9, 2022.

Irene is survived by: two children, Terry (Diane) Monte and Dale Monte of Penfield; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Leno Volpe of Penfield, Ann Facchine of DuBois and Betty Georgino of St. Marys; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband, Irene was preceded in death by: four brothers, Victor, Domenic, Geno and Anthony Carobine; and two sisters, Angeline Rhoades and Mary Yonkofski.

Irene was a 1950 graduate of Weedville High School.  She worked as a Teller with Deposit Bank for thirteen years.  She was catholic by faith and lived all her life in Bennetts Valley.

There will be no public visitation and funeral services will be private.
