Irene (Calliari) Gregori

Irene Gregori, age 98 of Force, PA, died Monday, October 31, 2022 at the DuBois Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.  A daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Maria (Serafini) Calliari, she was born on June 16, 1924 in Cardiff, Elk County, PA.  She married Victor A. Gregori, Sr. on October 12, 1946, who predeceased her on September 5, 1999.

Irene is survived by: four sons, Louis (Ruth) Gregori of Penfield, Victor Gregori, Jr. of Force, Dennis Gregori of Force and David (Deb) Gregori of DuBois; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Leo Calliari of Penfield and Carl Calliari of Sabula; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband, Irene was preceded in death by: a brother, Silvio Calliari; a sister, Mabel Rosman; and two sisters-in-law, Frances Calliari and Andrea Calliari.

Irene worked at Sylvania of Tonawanda starting at age eighteen and also worked Sylvania of Emporium.  She retired from Pure Carbon of St. Marys.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA and spent her time raising four boys, baking and being a Pittsburgh Pirate Fan.  Later, she enjoyed BINGO, Salamanca trips, playing cards, and especially time with her grandchildren.  She lived all her life in Force.

Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. and on Friday, from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 4, 2022 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA with Father Mark Mastrian.

Interment will take place in the Church Cemetery.
