Howard B. “Pete” Peterson, Jr., age 83, of Hillsdale, PA, died July 25, 2021 at Embassy of Hillsdale Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. A son of the late Howard B. and Miriam (Lane) Peterson, Sr., he was born on March 8, 1938 in Neptune, NJ. On May 16, 1958 he married Evanna (Higgley) who survives in Kersey, PA.

Along with his wife, Pete is survived by: two children, Kathleen Shaw of Florida and Bruce Peterson of Florida; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Pete was preceded in death by: a brother, Roy Peterson.

Pete graduated Columbia University of New York, served in the US Army Reserves and worked as a Commerce Attorney for RCA and GE, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed model trains, model train shows and gardening. He had lived in New Jersey, Florida, Johnsonburg and Hillsdale, PA.

There will be no public visitation.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family suggests memorials to the Fox Township Senior Center and will be accepting online condolences at www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com.

The Ubel Funeral Home of Johnsonburg has been entrusted with final arrangements.
