Helen L. Meraglia, age 95, of Weedville and DuBois, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Christ the King Manor of DuBois, PA. A daughter of the late Paul and Victoria (Ciesielski) Skrzypek, she was born on August 31, 1928 in Force, PA. On July 2, 1949 she married Roger Meraglia, who predeceased her on July 19, 2009.
Besides her parents and her husband, Helen was preceded in death by: five brothers, Frank, Paul, Louis, Vincent and Walter Skrzypek; and eight sisters, Antionette Trentini, Lottie Gornati, Veronica Panighetti, Margaret Robinson, Victoria Gornati, Clara Gustafson, Louise DeSio and a sister in infancy.
Helen is survived by: three children, Roger (Marleen) Meraglia of Penfield, Susan (James) Hanslovan of Luthersburg and Ginger (Tom) Bukousky of DuBois; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a sister, Josephine Levenduski of Force.
Helen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and lived most of her life in Bennetts Valley, until the past three years in DuBois. She enjoyed the company of family and friends and would always have a pot of coffee and some sweet treats for anyone who stopped by.
Public visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m., at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA, by Father Mark Mastrian.
Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
