Gunner Richard Mohney, age 14, of Dr’s Lane, Penfield, PA, died early August 14, 2023 as a result of injuries sustained in a house fire. A son of Jeffrey M. and Jessica (Baughman) Mohney of Penfield, he was born on December 29, 2008 in DuBois, PA.
Along with his parents, Gunner is survived by: a brother, Jeffrey L. Mohney of Penfield; his grandparents, Joyce (Kieth Spong) Baughman of St. Marys, Richard (Liz) Baughman of Brockway and Joyce Mohney of Sykesville; his great-grandma, Josephine Levanduski of Force; great-grandpa, Dick Baughman; and great-grandmother, Delores McKee.
Gunner lived all his life in Penfield and attended DuBois Area Schools. He enjoyed video games, Lego’s, “5 Nights of Freddie” and was a member of Elk County ABATE.
The family will be receiving friend from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the Penfield Firemen’s Training Facility (The Penfield Grange Hall - 12255 Bennetts Valley Hwy, Penfield, PA) with Funeral services to be held at 2:00 p.m., with Father Mark Mastrian and a celebration of life will follow from 2:30p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
