Grace Evelyn Zuraski passed away on October 19, 2022 following a brief illness. She was a resident of Elk Haven for the past year, previously from Long Level Road in Johnsonburg. She was the daughter of George and Helen (Beimel) Foster. On April 17, 1951 she married Robert J. Zuraski who preceded her in death on January 11, 1981. She resided in Johnsonburg since her marriage.
She is survived by her children Stephen (Julie) Zuraski, Deborah (Dick) Parker and Allen (Cindy) Zuraski. She is survived by the following grandchildren Amy (Alex) Carrera, Laura (Chris) Jack, Jennifer (Brian) Park, Heather (Ron) Meyers, Ryan Parker, Corey (Karri) Parker, and Alli Parker. Also surviving are 9 great grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren Tenley and Taylynn Reiter, Anna and Maddie Meyers, Lydia and Cora Jack, Sheldon and Sawyer Park, Emerson and Owen Parker, and Brooklyn Carrera. Survivng brothers and sister James Foster, Helen Zurfluh, Betty Kunitz, and Eileen (Dolly) Dornish, along with brohers and sisters-in-laws, Cecilia (Sis) Foster, Carol Foster, Mary Foster, Irene Micale, Patty and Ed Levenduski and William Zuraski.
Preceding her in death are brothers George Jr., Arthur, Richard, Thomas, Robert, Sisters Agnes Foster Bouse, Marguerite Foster and Evelyn Foster. Also numerous brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews and many close friends.
She retired from Keystone Carbon Company after more than 35 years of service. In her spare time she enjoyed feeding the birds, tending to her home, flowers and gardening. She loved to travel, visiting most of the 50 states and several foreign countries.
She was catholic by faith, belonging to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She loved her family, the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be no visitation as per Grace’s wishes.
A mass of Christian burial will take place, 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 24, 2022 at the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg with Father David Wilson.
