Gerald V. Klaiber, age 85, of River Road, Weedville, PA, died Friday, October 24, 2025 at Pinecrest Manor. A son of the late Thomas Andrew and Frances Magdeline (Benevich) Klaiber, he was born on December 17, 1939 in Force, PA. In 1988 he married JoAnn K. (Forsythe), who predeceased him in 2022.
Gerald is survived by: a brother, William “Kenny” Klaiber of Harrisburg; a sister, Mary Agnes Amoriello of Force; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and his wife, Gerald was predeceased by: three brothers, Thomas, Dennis and Francis “Eddie”; and three sisters, Jean Marie Klaiber, Germaine Trentini and Patricia Bauer.
He served in the US Army in Germany during the Vietnam Era, serving from 1963-65. He worked at Speer Carbon from 1959 until his retirement in 1998. His employment was saved for him during his time in the military and he continued at Speer’s after his deployment. Living all his life in Bennetts Valley, he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA, with Father Mark Mastrian.
