Francis "Franny C." Coccimiglio

Francis J. “Franny C” Coccimiglio, age 72, of Bennetts Valley, died November 4, 2021 at Christ the King Manor, after a lengthy Illness.  A son of the late Anthony F. and M. Louise (Caruso) Coccimiglio, he was born on December 31, 1948 in Force, PA.

Besides his parents, Franny was predeceased by: a sister-in-law, Pennie Coccimiglio.

Franny is survived by: three children, Francis “Franko” Coccimiglio of Florida, Daniel Coccimiglio of New Hampshire and Anthony Hnath of St. Marys; two grandchildren, Tarra and Connor Hnath; two brothers, John (Irene) Coccimiglio of Virginia and Richard Coccimiglio of Penfield; a sister, Mary (Richard) Levanduski of Ohio; many nieces and nephews; many cousins; and innumerable friends.

A lifelong resident of the area, Fran graduated Bennetts Valley High School in 1966 and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA.  He retired from Sylvania after thirty two years of employment.  He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of the local Military Honor Guard where he played Taps for Veterans at Military Funerals.  He was well known for his musical talents, playing in the band “EZ Street” and later a DJ “Good Time Express” where he entertained at many weddings and various function, including entertaining for children’s holiday parties.  He also enjoyed sports and coaching for his sons’ baseball teams.

Public visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m., Monday, November 8, 2021 and on Tuesday from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA with Father Mark Mastrian.

Interment will take place in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Bennetts Valley Legion Post 978 Honor Guard.
