Ethel I. (Llewellyn) Panighetti

Ethel I. Panighetti, age 97, of Weedville, PA, died March 13, 2023 at Elk Haven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.  A daughter of the late Clyde and Margurite (Tyler) Llewellyn, she was born on January 17, 1926 in Weedville, PA.  On April 10, 1946 she married Leo Panighetti, who predeceased her on August 11, 2012.

Besides her parents and her husband, Ethel was preceded in death by: two brothers, Clyde “Jack” Llewellyn and Chester Llewellyn; four sisters, Loretta McAfoose, Anna Schaberl, Roselyn VanLew and Rosella Shore; and a son-in-law, Edward Warmbrodt.

Ethel is survived by: two children, Charlene Warmbrodt of St. Marys and Charlette (Tony) Gerg of St. Marys; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Calvin Llewellyn of Penfield.

Ethel graduated Class of 1944 of Brookville High School.  She worked at PNL Supermarket, among others, and served as a Personal Care Aide for many years.  She was a member of the Weedville Wesleyan Church and lived most of her life in Bennetts Valley.  She enjoyed painting, cooking, flower gardening, her pet dogs, and especially her family and grandchildren.

Public visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Weedville Wesleyan Church of Weedville, PA.

Funeral Services will be held, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the Weedville Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Bryon Kleppinger.

Interment will take place in the Mt. Zion Cemetery of Weedville.
