Douglas M. Haupright

Douglas M. Haupright, age 80, Dill Hill, Johnsonburg, PA, died May 26, 2024 at Highland View Health Care Center of Brockway, PA.  A son of the late George and Helen (Pavlock) Haupright, he was born on November 16, 1943 in Toledo, OH.  On June 13, 1964 he married Diane C. (McClain), who predeceased him on August 7, 2019.

Besides his parents and his wife, Doug was preceded in death by: a brother, George Haupright; and a sister, Barbara Warmbrodt.

Doug is survived by: a son, D. J. Haupright of Johnsonburg; a daughter, Lisa (Daniel) Lechien of Johnsonburg; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Doug retired after many years as a pipefitter with Union Local 354, working in numerous companies and towns.  He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Central Hose Company and Rolfe Sportsmen’s for many years.  He enjoyed hunting, ATV riding and riding his motorcycle.  Doug was born in Toledo, but lived all his life in Johnsonburg.

There will be no public visitation.

A public Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Johnsonburg, with Father David Wilson as celebrant.

The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepting online condolences at the Ubel Funeral Home website (www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com).
