Dennis L. “Jack” Celinski, age 75, of Weedville, died unexpectedly, June 19, 2022 at Penn Highlands-DuBois. A son of the late Walter and Doris (Saline) Celinski, he was born on December 3, 1946 in DuBois, PA. In 1970 he married Flora “Jean” (Deemer) who predeceased him in 2009.
Along with his parents and his wife, Jack was predeceased by: a son, Todd Celinski; a brother, Ronald Celinski; a sister, Joyce Sperling; and three brothers-in-law, Irv Malacarne, Robert Castina and Steve Sperling.
Jack is survived by: two sons, Robert “Jack” (Kathleen) Celinski of Ridgway and Troy (Corinne) Celinski of Florida; five grandchildren, Kendra, RhiaShae, Marek, CeAna and Gracie; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Alice Malacarne of Ridgway, Helen Jean Castina of Brandy Camp and Janice (John) Hand of Kersey.
Jack honorably served in the US Marine Corps; worked as an equipment operator, rock truck driver, and along with his wife, owned and operated JC’S Diner of Weedville for many years. Living all his life in Bennetts Valley, he was, first and foremost, a Buck Hunter. He also enjoyed fishing, trapping, camping, Jeeping, ATVing and spending time with family and friends.
There will be no public visitation.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 1 – 3 p.m. and 5 – 7 p.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.
Funeral Services will be held, 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
