Daniel Stone, Jr.

            Daniel A. Stone Jr., age 77, passed away on August 2, 2023 with his family by his side at McKinley Health Care Center, Brookville, PA. He made his home with his son Daniel A Stone III, daughter-in-law Wendy and grandson Robert Chapman and his family in Penfield, PA.

            He was born on January 29, 1946 in Staunton, VA to the late Daniel A Stone, Sr. and Bernice Fontaine Stone (Stephenson).

            Dan enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  One of his greatest joys in life was his beloved cat and companion "Baby".

            He was a past member of the Fire Department in Ludlow, PA.  His hobbies included bowling, fishing, hunting and collecting knives.  He also had a passion for making bird houses and other wood crafts.

            He is survived by his son Daniel A Stone III and his wife Wendy (Schlopy) of Penfield, PA , his daughter Kathy Stone of Wetmore, PA and his ex-wife and friend Karen Stone of Ludlow, PA, one grandson Robert Chapman and one great grandson Alden Daniel Chapman of Penfield, PA.  He is also survived by two brothers, David Stone and Daryl Stone both of VA, three sisters, Deborah Laws of NC, Denise Loeffler and Darlyn Stone both of VA, his Uncle Dennis Stephenson of VA and several nieces and nephews.

            There will be no public visitation.

            A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Wild Cat Park in Ludlow, PA.
