Clarence "Carney" Monte

Clarence J. “Carney” Monte, age 90, of Bennetts Valley Highway, Penfield, PA, died Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Penn Highlands-DuBois, after a lengthy illness.  A son of the late Chester and Leona (McGinty) Monte, he was born on November 3, 1931 in Tyler, PA.  On November 3, 1951 he married Irene (Carobine), who survives in Penfield.

Along with his wife, Carney is survived by: two sons, Terry (Diane) Monte and Dale Monte of Penfield; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Carney was a 1950 Graduate of Penfield High School.  He worked forty three years with Pure Carbon as Quality Control Supervisor, retiring in 1993.  He lived all his life in Bennetts Valley.

At Carney’s request, there will be no visitation and no public services.
