Charlene W. Lutz, age 90, of Winslow Hill Road, Benezette, PA, passed away in her sleep, at home, September 30, 2024. A daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Kleinhans) Lentz, she was born on December 30, 1933 in Trafford, PA. On September 10, 1953 she married Glenn E. Lutz, who predeceased her on January 8, 2005.
Besides her parents and her husband, Charlene was preceded in death by: a sister, Ferne Lentz.
Charlene is survived by: her companion, Harold Weis of Benezette; four children, Glenn E. Lutz, Jr. of Palm Coast, FL, Ferne Lutz of Columbus Station, OH, Daniel (Vickie) Lutz of Stephensport, KY and Jeffrey (Susan) Lutz of North Royalton, OH; seven grandchildren, Denny, Nicole, Amanda, Danny, Danielle, Jennifer and Jamie; four great-grandchildren, Tristan, Ruby, Arlo and Mateo.
Charlene was born and raised in Trafford, PA, lived thirty years in Ohio, twenty years in Eldred, PA and the past twenty years in Benezette, PA. While in Ohio, she had worked as a Postal Carrier and was the first female walking route Postal Carrier in Medina County, Ohio. She attended Penfield Christian Fellowship Church and Benezette Methodist church, where she had played the piano at services for both. She enjoyed playing the piano, gardening and walking.
Public visitation will be held, Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. and also on Sunday, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.
Funeral Services will be held, 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the Funeral Home with Reverend Donald Logan.
Interment will take place, next to her husband, in the Mt. Zion Cemetery of Weedville, PA.
