Carolyn Huber, age 84, of Grove Street, Johnsonburg, died Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Elk Haven Nursing Home. A daughter of the late John W. Newman and the late Wilhelmina (Vierheller) Newman-Cox, she was born on January 8, 1938 in Flushing, Queens, NYC. On July 19, 1964 she married Kenneth E. Huber, who predeceased her on October 9, 2014.
Carolyn is survived by: five children, Linda (Jeff) Akers of New Mexico, Kenneth J. (Wendy) Huber of Ridgway, Kevin Huber of Portage, PA, Karen (Bradley) Emerson of Johnsonburg and Amy Morris of Johnsonburg; nine grandchildren, Aaron, Adam, Alan, Alicia, Brooke, Emma, Elaina, Eva and Elijah; three great-grandchildren, Makiya, Alan, Jr. and Nala; and three sisters, Marilyn Needham of Florida, Mae (Robert) Serrano of Florida and Elizabeth (Steven) Suarez of New York.
Besides her parents and her husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by: a grandson, Travis and a brother-in-law, Ernest Needham.
Carolyn spent most of her time at home caring for her family. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, yard-sales, BINGO, and watching Gameshows. She was born and raised in New York City and has lived in Johnsonburg since 1974.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home of Johnsonburg.
Funeral Services will be held, 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Ubel Funeral Home.
Interment will take place in Parklawn Memorial Gardens of Ridgway.
