Anna F. (Smith) Volpe

Anna F. Volpe, age 92, of Ridgway, died September 2, 2025 at Christ the King Manor of DuBois, PA.  A daughter of the late George and Rebecca (Silvis) Smith, she was born on December 15, 1932 in Penfield, PA. 

Besides her parents, Anna was predeceased by: her husband, John Volpe; two children, Cindy Heffner and infant Donna Heffner; a grandson, Johnathan Haag; two brothers, James and Donald Smith; and three sisters, Twila Anderson, Dorothy Wilson and Jean Rowland.

Anna is survived by: five children, Patricia Heffner of Ridgway, Rebecca (Dennis) Smiley of DuBois, Susan (Chris) Conway of DuBois, Toni (Rod) Flanders of DuBois and Bradley (Rhonda) Heffner of DuBois; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ernie (Doris) Smith of Alverton, PA and Eddie (Marion) Smith of DuBois.

Anna was a graduate of Penfield High School.  She worked many years alongside her husband, running a Beauty Shop in the Sheraton Inn of DuBois.  She enjoyed listening to the Gaither Brothers and the Reynoldsville Gospel Notes.  She was a member of the Kylertown Community Center and enjoyed her pets, “Buck” and “Maybeline”.  She was born and raised in Penfield, lived most of her life in Clearfield and Jefferson Counties and lived the past three years in Ridgway.

There will be no visitation and funeral services will be held privately.
