Virginia "Toots" (Huff) McClellan

Virginia M. “Toots” McClellan, 79, Trout Run Road, Benezette, PA, died, November 6, 2017, at UPMC Altoona.  A daughter of the late Virgil J. and Esther (Betta) Huff, she was born in DuBois on July 19, 1938. 

Toots is survived by her husband of fifty four years, James A. McClellan of Benezette; four children, Louis Bonfardine of Weedville, PA, Rebecca (Dennis Yount) Bonfardine of Mayport, PA, Rita Bonfardine of Pensacola, FL, and Sandy (Bill) Patterson of Pensacola Beach, FL; eight grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bonnie (Jerry Trenn) Huff of Weedville, PA.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert “Bob” Huff and three grandchildren, Jason Keith Bonfardine, Dino Casey and James Oliver Casey.

Toots was a graduate of Weedville High School and a former Benezette Township Tax Collector, working in that capacity for twelve years.  She was the treasurer of the Bennetts Branch Watershed Association for many years and an active member of the Benezette United Methodist Church.  Living most of her life in Bennetts Valley, she lived nineteen years in Louisiana and came back to Benezette in 1990.  She enjoyed hunting and fishing for many years and also enjoyed crafts, cooking and reading.

There will be no visitation.  The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, November 18, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Benezette United Methodist Church.   Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at the Church with Pastor Missy Smith.

Burial will take place in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Weedville, PA
