Paul R. Ellingsworth

Paul R. Ellingsworth, 84, Showers Road, DuBois, PA, died, November 12, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic, after a lengthy illness.  Born on November 21, 1932 in Seanor, PA, he is last surviving child of the late John and Julie (Domonkos) Ellingsworth.  On August 18, 1956, he married Elizabeth M. “Kitz” (Barbey), who survives in DuBois.

Paul enjoyed being a big part of the lives of his great niece, Sarah (Mark) Ford; great nephew, Adam (Nicole) Dixon; and his great-great-nephew Jaxson Dixon.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Louis, John, Joe, Robert, and his sisters, Julie Ann and Margaret.

Paul served in the US Navy during the Korean War and worked at General Motors in New Jersey for thirty years, retiring in 1988.  An active member of the Penfield United Methodist Church, he was a past member of the church council.  He was also a member of the Bennetts Valley Rod & Gun Club and the PA Wildlife Habitat Unlimited of DuBois.  He enjoyed fishing and woodworking, especially whittling.

Born and raised in Seanor, Paul lived thirty years in New Jersey and has been on Showers Road in DuBois since 1989.

There will be no visitation.  The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home, Penfield, PA.  Funeral services will follow, at the funeral home, 11:00 a.m., Saturday with Reverend Robert Dornan.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Bennetts Valley American Legion Post 978 Burial Detail.

Burial will take place in the Beechwoods Cemetery of Falls Creek, PA
