Leonard "Lenny" Feidler

Leonard H. “Lenny” Feidler, 79, of Weedville, died, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at home, after an extended illness.  He was born in St. Marys on February 7, 1939, a son of the late Chauncey and Theresa (Schaefman) Feidler.  On August 30, 1969 he married Veronica Visneski, who survives in Weedville.

Besides his wife, Lenny is survived by: three children, Theresa (Jim) Hodgdon of Daguscahonda, Vincent (Deana) Feidler of North Canton, OH and Larry Feidler of St. Marys; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Norman (Shirley) Feidler of St. Marys and Jerome (Joyce) Feidler of St. Marys; and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Sandy Donati.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by eight siblings, Martha, James, Dorothy, Esther, Richard, Helen, Clarence and Robert.

Lenny served in the US Army during the Korean War being stationed in Germany.  Before and after the military, he worked at Powdered Metal Products of St. Marys, retiring in 2005 after totaling more than fifty years employment.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force and lived all his life in Kersey and Weedville.  He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, working in the garage and woodworking.

There will be no public visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Force, PA with Father Mark Mastrian.  Military honors will be accorded by the Bennetts Valley Legion Post 978 Burial Detail.  Interment will take place in the Church Cemetery.
