Lena Marie Krulia, age 99, of Weedville, PA, passed away, Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Penn Highlands-DuBois. A daughter of the late Louis and Adolerta (Bellini) Berasi, she was born on April 2, 1923 in Cardiff, PA. On July 22, 1950 she married Walter Krulia, who predeceased her on November 11, 2004.
Lena had worked at Speer Resistor in St. Marys and Quality Component in Daguscahonda, PA, before leaving her workplace to care for her mother. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA having been the oldest member at 99; and also a member of the Bennetts Valley Senior Center of Weedville. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandson, Richard “Ricky” Krulia, Jr. and her grand-daughter, Amanda S. (Krulia) Holjencin; but, her greatest joy was spending time with her great-grandsons, Louie and Franco Krulia.
Lena is survived by: a son, Richard “Rick” (Mindy) Krulia, Sr. of Weedville; grandson, Richard “Ricky” (Sarah) Krulia, Jr. of Weedville; grand-daughter, Amanda (Sean) Holjencin of Kersey; two great-grandsons, Louie and Franco Krulia of Weedville; a brother, Guido “Guy” Berasi of Meadville; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special friend and neighbor, Darlene Gregori.
Besides her parents and her husband, Lena was predeceased by: a son, David L. Krulia (August 6, 1985); and five brothers, Bruno, Constance, John, George and James Berasi.
Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Mark Mastrian, celebrant.
