John M. “Jack” Michuck, Jr., age 86, of Horseshoe Drive, Penfield, PA, died unexpectedly, at home on Thursday, June 9, 2022. A son of the late John M. and Freda (Walker) Michuck, Sr., he was born on May 19, 1936 in Tyler, PA. On April 19, 1958 he married H. Evon (Schlemmer) who survives at home.
Along with his wife, Jack is survived by: two children, Robert (Jackie) Michuck and Richard (Debbie) Michuck, both of Penfield; a brother, Ronald (Vicki) Michuck of Lancaster, PA; and a sister, Carol (Jack) Lines of Penfield.
Jack was a 1954 graduate of Huston Township High School and had a year of Electrician Trade School, from which he spent many hours helping local families with their electrical problems. He retired from Keystone Carbon of St. Marys after forty four years of service. He was an active member of the Penfield United Methodist Church; active in the Huston Township Alumni Association, where he served on the Nominating Committee for many years; was a past Master of the George E. Wagner Masonic Lodge; lifetime member of the Penfield Firemen’s Club; and member of the Weedville American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and playing billiards. He was a resident of Bennetts Valley all his life and was known for his tireless work ethic.
Public Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield and also on Monday, from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Penfield United Methodist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at the church, 11:00 a.m. Monday with Pastor Lorraine Knapp.
Interment will take place in the Morningside Cemetery.
