James L. Ripple

James L. Ripple, age 82, of Penfield, PA, died early Friday, April 5, 2024 at his home, after a short illness.  A son of the late Lorenzo and Natalie (Louge) Ripple, he was born on August 3, 1941 in Turtle Point, PA.  In 1962 he married Carol (Zimmer), who survives at home.
Along with his wife, Jim is survived by: four children, Curtis (Shannon) Ripple of Treasure Lake, Cletus (Donna) Ripple of Sabula, Lesley Ripple of Clearfield and William Ripple of Clearfield; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by: a grandson, Joeseph Ripple and two brothers, William and Erwin Ripple.
Jim graduated Austin High School and received his associate degree from Penn State.  He worked as a Machinist for various local companies and served as a Foster Parents for many years.  He was a member of the Penfield Free Methodist Church, the Penfield Firemen's, The Loyal Order of Moose, the Olympic Athletic Club, May Hollow Sportsmen's and various other Social Clubs.  He was raised in Costello, lived twenty years in Emporium and lived the past forty years in Penfield.
Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. and also on Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.
Funeral Services will be held, 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Shaffer.
Interment will take place in the Portage Township Cemetery of Emporium, PA.
