Elizabeth Ellingsworth Obituary

Elizabeth M. “Kitz” Ellingsworth, age 89, of Showers Road, Sabula, PA, died February 22, 2024 at Mountain Laurel Nursing Home of Clearfield. A daughter of the late Gabriel and Mary (Buckshaw) Barbey, she was born on August 17, 1934 in Windber, PA. On August 18, 1956 she married Paul R. Ellingsworth who predeceased her on November 12, 2017.

Besides her parents and her husband, Elizabeth was predeceased by: a brother, Gabe Barbey, Jr.

Elizabeth is survived by: a nieces/nephew, Sarah Ford and Adam (Nicole) Dixon; great-niece/nephew, Addilyn and Jaxson Dixon; a brother, Ernest Barbey; and a sister, Mary Jane Barbey.

Elizabeth worked for Rutgers University of New Jersey for fifteen years. She was a member of Penfield United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. She lived most of her life in Sabula.

There will be no visitation.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will take place in Beechwoods Cemetery of Falls Creek, next to her husband.
