Dena Jean (Duchi) Casciani

Dena Jean Casciani, age 83, of Mason, Ohio, and formerly of Johnsonburg, died Saturday, January 23, 2021.  A daughter of the late Dino & Val Jean (Wingard) Duchi, she was born on October 26, 1937 in Brookville, PA.  On June 20, 1959, she married John Casciani, Jr. who survives in Ohio.

Along with her husband, Dena is survived by: two daughters, Cheryl A. Casciani of Baltimore, MD and Barbara J. Casciani of Cincinnati, OH.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by: a sister, Diann Watson.

Dena was raised on Julia Street of Johnsonburg, moved to 2^nd avenue and then to Woodland Avenue in 1965.  After retirement, she relocated with her husband to Maineville, OH, near Cincinnati. She was a Johnsonburg Area High School graduate, a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Johnsonburg and the St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church of Maineville, OH.  She worked at the Armstrong Forest Company as a secretary and at the Johnsonburg Market Basket for many years as Deli Manager. She enjoyed daily walks with her husband and her little dog, Buddy; was an avid reader; loved to work word puzzles; and never missed her daughters’ high school basketball games.

There will be no public visitation.

Private services will be held by the family.

Interment will take place in Holy Rosary Cemetery of Johnsonburg.
