Charles Michael “Chucky” Carnahan, age 65, of Johnsonburg and recently of Emporium, passed away due to a heart attack on April 7, 2022. A son of the late Charles T. and Carmella D. (Cicuzza) Carnahan, he was born on July 19, 1956 in Ridgway, PA.
Chucky is survived by: three siblings, Sylvia E. (Robert) Birt, Julie L. (Lori Curcio) Carnahan and Shauna E. Carnahan; and several nieces and nephews.
Living most of his life in Johnsonburg and Warren, he graduated from Warren Area High School, was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Johnsonburg and the Knights of Columbus in St. Marys. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football, spending time with family and especially Christmas-Time. He was a Committee Member and Advocate for disabled people and would travel to Washington, DC, to speak on their behalf.
Public visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. and also on Monday from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home of Johnsonburg.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2022 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Johnsonburg with Father David Wilson.
Interment will take place in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery with his parents.
