Stanley J. Kentoski, Jr.

Stanley J. Kentoski, Jr., 87, of Doctor’s Lane, Penfield, PA, died, Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the DuBois Nursing Home.  A son of late Stanley and Rachel (Seduski) Kentoski, Sr., born in Tyler, PA, on January 1, 1930, he married Patricia E. (Bendick), October 15, 1960.  She preceded him in death on September 18, 2005.

Stan had worked in the coal mines in Hollywood, PA, Stackpole Carbon of St. Marys and retired from Penn-Elkco Spring Company of St. Marys after more than thirty five years.  A US Marine of the Korean era, Stan lived all his life in Tyler and Penfield.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Gary (Cindy) Kentoski of Penfield and Diane (Mark) Llewellyn of Penfield; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Donald Kentoski of Penfield.  Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Carlson and Irene Moorhouse.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA with Father Mark Mastrian, celebrant.  Visitation will take place on Friday, September 8, 2017, from 4 - 7 p.m. and on Saturday, from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home, Penfield, PA.

Military honors will be accorded by the Bennetts Valley American Legion Post 978 Honor Guard with burial taking place in the church cemetery.
