Leola (Meloni) Meraglia

Leola M. Meraglia, 87, of St. Joseph Terrace, Force, PA, died, Friday, November 24, 2017 at Christ The King Manor of DuBois.  A daughter of the late Mario and Ruby (Taylor) Meloni, born September 10, 1930 in Force, PA, she married Mario J. Meraglia, January 22, 1948 and he predeceased her on November 4, 1997.

Leola is survived by her two children, Mario L. “Mick” (Catherine) Meraglia of State College, PA and Edward P. (Catherine) Meraglia of Force, PA; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald and Robert Meloni of Kersey, PA; and a sister, Doris Pfaff of Ohio.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Victor and LeRoy Meloni, and a sister Margaret Porco.

Leola worked mostly as a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and driving her friends to various engagements.  She was an active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, being a past member of both the choir and the funeral committee.  She lived all her life in Bennetts Valley.

There will be no visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 4, 2017 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA with Father Mark Mastrian as celebrant.

Interment will take place next to her husband in the church cemetery.
