            2 Daughters:    Gail (Stan) Barnett – Johnsonburg, PA

                                    Lori (John) Abplanalp – Coudersport, PA

 

            5 Grandchildren

 

            7 Great-Grandchildren

 

            1 Brother:        Roger Halquist – Wilcox, PA

 

            1 Sister:            Jean (Michael) Ferko – North East, PA

 

PREDECEASED BY: Parents; 1st Wife – Marilyn (Metro) Halquist; 4 Brothers – Harry, Raymond, Donald and John Halquist; 7 Sisters – Helen Richardson, Hildegard Gressens, Dorothy Thompson, Luella Johnson, Frances Wantuck, Phyllis Johnson and Patricia Gavazzi.

 

MILITARY: Served in the US Navy during WWII.

 

OCCUPATION: Pulwood and logging contractor with Halquist Brothers for 50 years retiring in 1995.

 

NOTORIETY: Member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Johnsonburg Knothole board of directors, a baseball coach for many years and enjoyed hunting.

 

OTHER RESIDENCES: Has lived in Johnsonburg, Wilcox and Belleview, FL.

 

 

VISITATION:

Monday, August 1, 2016, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home, Johnsonburg, PA

 

FUNERAL SERVICES:

11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the St. John Lutheran Church, Johnsonburg, PA

 

MILITARY HONORS: Will be accorded by the Johnsonburg/Ridgway Serviceman’s Detail.  Members are asked to assemble at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, 10:45 a.m., Tuesday.

 

INTERMENT: Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Ridgway, PA
